About the Role
KuCoin Exchange is seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer to join our team in Lagos State, Nigeria. This role is crucial for ensuring our operations adhere to all relevant external regulations and internal policies, particularly within the cryptocurrency exchange domain. You will serve as a key point of contact for compliance matters, liaising with internal business units, service units, and external regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee adherence to external laws and internal guidelines concerning crypto exchange operations.
- Offer expert advice and support on compliance issues, including developing training programs, managing licensing, handling regulatory examinations, and overseeing control room activities.
- Act as the primary compliance liaison for significant internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze the implications of evolving regulatory landscapes and ensure the company remains compliant with new changes.
- Scrutinize customer communications and correspondence with regulatory authorities.
- Maintain and update all essential documentation related to cryptocurrency exchange compliance.
- Conduct training sessions and foster a culture of compliance awareness among staff.
- Engage with local regulators on compliance matters, including managing reviews, submitting progress reports, and responding to surveys and inquiries.
- Undertake special compliance projects as assigned by management.
