Role Overview

The Compensation Lead will oversee the comprehensive management of Affirm’s compensation systems such as Radford and Pave to ensure alignment with company policies and employee needs. This individual will be pivotal in managing day-to-day compensation operations and ensuring that compensation programs remain competitive and effective.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer the semiannual compensation processes end-to-end.
• Lead and engage in all facets of annual compensation studies evaluating Affirm’s market competitiveness, including auditing job roles, responsibilities, and requirements.
• Manage benchmarking survey submissions and reviews, recommend updates to cash and equity compensation structures and ranges.
• Execute special projects involving various compensation analyses like incentive plans, equity programs, and pay equity.
• Coordinate pay reporting across all supported regions.
• Support compensation training initiatives and employee communications.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years in compensation roles or people analytics.
• Proficiency in compensation management platforms, preferably Pave.
• Strong data-driven approach with expertise in tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Sigma Computing, and Claude Code for deriving actionable insights.
• Meticulous attention to detail alongside a strong sense of accountability; ability to work autonomously and in teams.
• Excellent collaboration skills; capable of clear and comprehensive communication across departments to meet project timelines.
• Demonstrated sound judgment and integrity in handling sensitive, confidential information.
• Experienced in analyzing complex issues where multifaceted data evaluation is required.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, capable of simplifying complex concepts for different audiences including senior leadership.
• Highly organized, adept at managing multiple shifting priorities in a dynamic workplace.
• Customer service oriented mindset.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and ensuring compliance across compensation plans and programs.

Compensation and Benefits

This role corresponds to Pay Grade K and Equity Grade 4. Entry-level hires typically start at the low end of the pay range. Affirm offers a transparent and straightforward compensation structure considering factors such as location, experience, and relevant skills. The base annual salary range in Canada is $112,000 to $172,000. Total rewards also include equity grants, monthly stipends for health, wellness, and technology, and comprehensive benefits including full coverage for medical, dental, and vision for employees and dependents.
