Overview
This is a remote full-time opportunity in the United States for a Communications and Marketing Specialist supporting a partner organization. The selected candidate will be engaged in developing clear, engaging, and consistent communications that help increase awareness and adoption of government program capabilities.
The role blends strategic communications, product marketing, and change support within complex government environments. It calls for someone who can turn technical or layered initiatives into understandable content for varied audiences, while partnering closely with cross-functional teams to improve clarity, engagement, and adoption. Occasional travel may be needed based on client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop polished communications and marketing assets such as case studies, infographics, briefing presentations, fact sheets, promotional materials, and impact-focused stories.
- Keep messaging aligned and consistent across websites, social channels, presentations, and internal or external communication touchpoints.
- Support product marketing work by helping shape, implement, and sustain strategies for government program offerings.
- Assist change management efforts by strengthening communication workflows, flagging potential risks, and supporting structured change frameworks.
- Contribute communications content for reports, dashboards, and strategic planning documents.
- Join stakeholder discussions to help prioritize communication needs and coordinate delivery timelines.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional experience in strategic communications and product marketing.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a closely related discipline.
- Prior experience with federal government clients is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of change management approaches such as Prosci or ADKAR.
- Proven background supporting transformation or organizational change initiatives.
- Excellent writing, editing, and speaking skills, with the ability to simplify complex subject matter.
- Strong analytical judgment, organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to perform well under pressure, adapt quickly, and respond constructively to feedback.
- U.S. work authorization is required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
