Role Overview
A mid-level opportunity has opened for an internal communications specialist to join a large organisation on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will contribute to strategic communication efforts aimed at boosting employee engagement and strengthening the company’s brand and reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and regularly update content on the company intranet ensuring information is accurate and clearly presented.
- Create diverse internal communications such as updates, quick guides, posts, FAQs, and leadership messages.
- Support various business units with tactical communication needs and provide expert advice on communication strategies and timing.
- Produce, edit, and source internal corporate communications including news articles, key talking points, manager toolkits, briefings, scripts, FAQs, and video content.
- Assist with communications directed from company leadership.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess tertiary qualifications in communication, journalism or public relations.
- Previous experience in internal or corporate communications is essential.
- Excellent writing skills emphasizing clarity, simplicity, and correctness.
- Good judgment and confidence in advising stakeholders on communication priorities and approaches.
- Ability to work independently, with appropriate issue escalation.
- Talent for converting complex information into engaging, business-wide messages.
- Familiarity with Canva or comparable platforms for basic graphic design.
- Interest in producing video and short-form media content.
- Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
- High attention to detail and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, inquisitive nature with comfort in seeking clarification.
- Collaborative mind-set and willingness to contribute to team efforts.
