Role Overview
The Clinical Data Coordinator will support clinical data management tasks for assigned projects by ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company, sponsor, and regulatory standards. This position contributes to the department’s and organization’s overall objectives and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing essential data management documentation during trial phases including startup, maintenance, and closeout.
- Support database testing and implementation of data edit checks.
- Review clinical data and generate queries to resolve discrepancies.
- Perform data entry as required and update databases to correct identified errors.
- Help generate requests for statistical software (SAS) and review the related report outputs.
- Assist in creating and verifying data transfers to ensure accuracy before submission.
- Participate in finalizing clinical databases and associated documentation for transfer to sponsors.
- Maintain approved study documents properly in trial master files.
Departmental Support Duties
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Data Management through sharing knowledge and facilitating training.
- Act as an internal and external advocate for Data Management practices and standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Post-secondary certification relevant to the field with 1-2 years of experience, or 1-3 years of related work experience accompanied by ongoing training.
- Self-driven with effective communication skills alongside a dedication to achieving quality outcomes.
- Strong attention to detail coupled with an eagerness to build collaborative relationships to achieve project goals.
- Commitment to continuous personal development and teamwork.
