Job Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Civil Inspector to become part of our infrastructure supervision consultancy team based in Dubai. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in infrastructure projects, possessing mandatory approval from Dubai Municipality (DM) and prior consultancy experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Examine and oversee infrastructure construction activities ensuring alignment with approved design drawings, specifications, contract details, and Dubai Municipality standards.
- Manage supervision of works related to roads, utilities, drainage systems, stormwater networks, sewerage, water supply, and other infrastructure components.
- Validate that materials, craftsmanship, and construction techniques comply with the quality expectations of the project.
- Conduct site evaluations, witness various testing procedures, and review submissions provided by contractors.
- Detect any deviations or non-compliances and facilitate prompt corrective measures.
- Collaborate closely with Resident Engineers, contractors, and pertinent authorities to address technical concerns.
- Track site progress diligently, ensuring safety protocols and timely execution per project timelines.
- Generate daily reports on inspections, compile snag lists, and maintain thorough documentation.
- Provide assistance during inspections by authorities and support the project's handover phase.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possess a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
- Have at least 10 years of professional experience working on infrastructure-related projects.
- Hold a valid Dubai Municipality (DM) Civil Inspector approval — this is mandatory.
- Experience specifically in consultancy and supervision roles is essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing work related to roads, utilities, drainage, sewerage, and supporting infrastructure.
