Job Summary
We are looking for a seasoned Civil Engineer to manage and execute civil engineering projects related to infrastructure development, renovations, and facility maintenance within the hospital campus. The candidate will demonstrate strong technical capability, effective project management, cost control acumen, and collaborative skills to engage with hospital teams, external consultants, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and supervision of civil projects including hospital expansions, renovations, and upkeep.
- Create, evaluate, and adjust engineering drawings through AutoCAD.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure projects complete on schedule.
- Prepare detailed project estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), budgets, and manage financial aspects related to projects.
- Track timelines, quality checkpoints, and budget expenses to ensure proper project delivery.
- Adhere to applicable statutory rules, hospital quality protocols, and safety standards.
- Carry out frequent site inspections and troubleshoot technical issues during project phases.
- Develop and present project reports and updates to management.
- Coordinate efforts with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), Biomedical, Facilities, and Operations teams for smooth project execution.
- Manage construction to limit interference with ongoing hospital services.
- Keep comprehensive records including contracts, technical documents, drawings, and project files.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
- 7 to 8 years of hands-on experience in civil engineering projects.
- Background in healthcare infrastructure, hospitals, commercial buildings, or sizable infrastructure ventures is preferable.
Essential Skills
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD software.
- Deep understanding of project costing, budgeting, and cost control methods.
- Excellent skills in documentation and presentation.
- Effective verbal and written English communication abilities.
- Thorough knowledge of construction standards, quality assurance, and safety compliance.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, planning, and coordination skills.
Preferred Attributes
- A stable work history with commitment to previous roles.
- Prior experience with hospital or healthcare facility civil projects is an advantage.
- Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently and collaborate across teams.
