Role Overview
An established business in the moving and relocation space is seeking a Chief Operations Officer to strengthen operational performance and support continued growth. The role is based in an office setting rather than remote, and a relocation requirement may apply. The selected leader will be responsible for overseeing the efficient delivery of commercial moving work, logistics, final mile deliveries, and FF&E/O&I projects while guiding operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the daily functioning of moving and relocation operations.
- Support and manage operational leaders so service quality remains consistent.
- Coordinate fleet, warehouse, and other operational assets to satisfy business needs.
- Track productivity, performance, and service outcomes across several departments.
- Partner with sales and customer service teams to help ensure smooth customer move execution.
- Assess existing processes and introduce improvements where needed.
- Maintain adherence to industry rules, health and safety standards, and internal procedures.
Experience and Requirements
The employer is looking for a seasoned operations executive with extensive leadership experience in a moving and relocation business handling more than $15M in annual activity. Strong familiarity with logistics, FF&E/O&I projects, final mile shipping, and commercial moving operations is important. The ideal candidate should also have direct experience overseeing warehouse, fleet, and operational teams, along with the ability to guide, develop, and motivate large groups. Strong planning, organisation, and problem-solving capability are also expected.
