Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will oversee the day-to-day operational activities, implement the strategic vision of the company, drive excellence in operations, enhance organizational performance, and ensure delivery of superior healthcare services. This role demands a strategic, outcome-focused leader with extensive operational management experience, financial expertise, and a steadfast commitment to quality patient care and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to shape and implement the organizational strategy.
• Convert strategic goals into actionable operational plans with measurable success metrics.
• Lead organizational growth, transformation projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote a culture centered on accountability, innovation, teamwork, and excellence.
• Manage daily operations across clinical and non-clinical units ensuring high standards of patient care and operational efficiency.
• Establish and monitor performance indicators to measure and improve processes, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
• Partner with the CFO to create budgets and resource allocation plans supporting financial goals.
• Support sustained organizational growth while maintaining fiscal discipline and operational productivity.
• Work closely with clinical leaders to ensure patient-centered care aligns with operational activities, quality improvement, and safety initiatives.
• Ensure full compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation requirements, and internal policies; maintain audit readiness.
• Lead risk management and business continuity plans promoting ethical leadership.
• Guide, mentor, and develop senior operational leaders fostering high-performance and collaboration.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including healthcare providers, board members, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or relevant fields required.
• Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations.

Preferred Experience and Competencies

• Prior experience managing large multidisciplinary teams and multi-site healthcare organizations.
• Knowledge of value-based care models, digital health solutions, and healthcare technology implementations.
• Certifications such as Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence credentials are advantageous.
• Strong strategic thinking, operational excellence, executive leadership, financial acumen, change management, quality and safety focus, compliance expertise, data-driven decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, employee development, problem-solving abilities, and emotional intelligence.

Reporting and Work Environment

The COO reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and leads senior operational, clinical, and administrative leaders. This executive role involves frequent collaboration across departments and occasional travel between locations. A visible leadership presence throughout the organization is essential, including participation in executive and board meetings.
