About the Role

This position offers an exceptional opportunity to join a portfolio company of a top-tier Australian private equity firm. The company is a technology-focused market leader undergoing accelerated growth. As Chief Financial Officer, you will collaborate closely with an excellent CEO, the executive leadership team (ELT), and the board of directors.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare timely financial and management reports for the organization.
• Plan and steer long-term strategic financial goals, continuously reviewing and updating existing strategies.
• Partner with the ELT on treasury, financing, and debt management initiatives.
• Develop and implement an effective management performance framework.
• Conduct commercial reviews, financial analyses of key business opportunities, and strategic projects.
• Analyze business performance data to identify trends, areas for enhancement, and cost-saving opportunities, recommending process improvements accordingly.
• Assist in pricing strategies for major customer contracts and re-tenders, ensuring disciplined margin optimization.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs and business metrics.
• Oversee all tax, audit, and reporting activities.
• Lead efforts to improve systems and processes throughout the company.

Candidate Profile

• Current or former Chief Financial Officer or Finance Director with experience in leading private equity portfolio companies.
• Strong finance leadership background in fast-moving, high-growth environments.
• Energetic, achievement-oriented individual thriving in dynamic cultures.
• Excellent communication and presence to engage effectively with the board and private equity owners.
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.

Additional Information

This role is based in the Greater Melbourne Area and requires full-time onsite commitment.
