Job description
Role Overview
The Chief Electrical Engineer will spearhead electrical system design and day-to-day operations across multiple data center locations. This pivotal role involves crafting and executing innovative electrical strategies that reinforce reliability, enhance efficiency, and drive towards fully autonomous data center functionality while adhering to high standards of operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead advanced electrical system designs implementing future-proof, scalable architectures integrating cutting-edge technologies to support autonomous operations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends to continuously incorporate innovative solutions in data center electrical infrastructure.
- Build and nurture strong collaborations with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to source optimal components and solve complex electrical challenges leveraging deep OEM insights.
- Coordinate rapid response teams to swiftly identify and remedy electrical faults minimizing operational downtime and disruptions.
- Establish efficient root cause analysis protocols to prevent issue recurrence through robust processes.
- Manage and mentor a diverse engineering team, fostering technical expertise, innovation, and aligning efforts with corporate strategic objectives.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant local and international electrical standards, environmental regulations, and safety mandates.
- Advocate and sustain a safety-first environment via rigorous protocols and continuous team training.
- Oversee multiple large-scale electrical projects, managing budgets, resources, and schedules to ensure timely, within-budget delivery adhering to technical criteria.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is mandatory; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in electrical engineering with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the data center industry.
