About the Team

Our Global Procurement group acts as a strategic partner for both internal stakeholders and external suppliers, focused on adding value and managing risk in indirect, non-product-related procurement for our global operations. By leveraging category expertise, market analysis, supplier management, and both short- and long-term planning, the team increases profitability and return on investment through stakeholder-centered procurement practices.

Role Overview

In this position, you will report to the Procurement Director for Technology and collaborate directly with stakeholders to support their objectives. This includes utilizing advanced data analytics, leading strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations, overseeing supplier relationships, and delivering on project goals. You’ll also contribute to the development and achievement of the annual category strategy and help identify new opportunities and risks.

Core Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and help implement category strategies that reflect business priorities through inclusive collaboration.
  • Share market research and analytical insights to shape sourcing initiatives and category planning.
  • Drive productivity improvements by optimizing total cost of ownership within assigned technology sub-categories.
  • Establish clear sourcing roadmaps to improve efficiency and prioritize key events.
  • Forge strong alliances with business leaders to realize impactful sourcing strategies.
  • Support and occasionally lead strategic sourcing events and supplier negotiations as you gain experience.
  • Use data-driven insights from spend and other analytics to uncover value opportunities.
  • Oversee contract management processes and coordinate with Legal for timely and accurate execution of agreements.
  • Maintain tools and processes for planning and tracking procurement activities.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, SCMP, or an equivalent professional designation is preferred.
  • Five or more years’ experience in Indirect Procurement.
  • At least two years specializing in Technology Category Management.
  • Proficiency in running end-to-end complex RFP processes.
  • Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with knowledge of P2P platforms (Coupa/Oracle) considered advantageous.
  • Expertise in relationship management, category strategy, creative sourcing, negotiation, and complex project delivery.

Additional Requirements

  • Must have authorization to work in Canada.

Compensation and Benefits

Base compensation typically ranges from $112,000 to $147,000 per year, with salary determined by location, experience, and job-specific skills. Workplace Arrangement

This role follows a hybrid arrangement but requires a minimum of 4 days per week onsite. In-person engagement is considered central to the company’s culture and success.
