Position Overview
Joining Walmart Canada as a Cashier offers the chance to enhance your retail skills while delivering outstanding service to customers during checkout, fostering customer loyalty. The role requires vigilance in protecting company assets and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet every customer with politeness and friendliness.
- Efficiently manage all purchase transactions, including deactivation of items according to the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) program.
- Promote company-sponsored programs such as credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable initiatives.
- Help customers by bagging and assisting with loading their purchases.
- Adhere to safe working practices, including proper lifting techniques and maintaining a tidy workspace.
- Maintain the security and integrity of the cash register by careful handling of money, following company policies, and staying vigilant.
- Forward relevant service and transaction concerns to the Customer Service Manager when necessary.
Compensation
The starting hourly rate for this position is $16.90.

- Applicants must be aged 16 years or older.
