Overview
The Cash Product Manager is a key leadership role responsible for directing the strategy and operational management of Cash, Trade, and Working Capital products at a major international bank. The role emphasizes aligning product development with the bank's broader transaction banking objectives to deliver superior value to a diverse customer base. Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and execute clear product strategies for Cash, Trade, and Working Capital lines consistent with global banking goals, while monitoring financial and non-financial metrics to maintain competitiveness and product excellence.
- Perform detailed market research analyzing customer behavior, competitors, and trends to refine strategies, discover growth opportunities, and proactively manage risks.
- Ensure thorough documentation and periodic reviews of product processes, workflows, and governance to comply with market and regulatory standards and promote operational transparency.
- Manage the entire product lifecycle from strategic planning, risk oversight, commercialization, to retirement, focusing on simplicity, robustness, and scalability in governance.
- Promote a client-centric culture encouraging agile practices and collaborative innovation with internal and external stakeholders to enhance market propositions and brand strength.
- Oversee product profitability by managing revenues, operational costs, and investments for sustainable returns and long-term financial health.
- Craft and implement strategic plans that integrate client insights and industry developments to build technological and operational frameworks supporting timely launches and efficient adoption.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to advance process improvements and leverage technology to improve client experience, service quality, and cost-efficiency.
- Account for product budgets including revenue growth, client acquisition and retention, liability gathering, and controlling operational expenses to surpass performance targets.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Deep understanding of banking products, systems, and regulatory practices relevant to Cash Management, Trade Finance, and Working Capital solutions.
- Experience in product lifecycle management, conducting market and risk analyses, and overseeing financial and operational metrics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in English, ensuring effective documentation and stakeholder interaction.
- Proven background in banking or financial services product management, especially within transaction banking or cash management domains.
- Strong analytical skills to convert complex data into effective product strategies.
- Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills fostering inclusive teamwork to achieve joint goals.
- Commitment to ethical standards, regulatory compliance, and continuous professional development.
Education
A university degree or equivalent qualification in finance, business administration, or related fields is required.
