Job Overview and Responsibilities

The role involves delivering personalized assistance with clients' daily personal care needs such as bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, and helping with bathroom routines. Supporting mobility within the home includes safely helping clients move around, transferring from beds or wheelchairs, and assisting with the use of mobility devices. The caretaker will also prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and may provide help with feeding when necessary.

Additional duties consist of administering timely medication reminders and support with medicine as outlined in care plans. Maintaining a clean living environment by handling tasks like laundry, dishwashing, and changing bed linens is expected. Furthermore, providing companionship and social interaction is key to monitoring clients’ well-being, with any changes in physical or mental health promptly reported to supervisors or family members.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum educational qualification is completion of high school or equivalent.
• Possession of valid First Aid and CPR certifications is essential.
• Additional caregiving education such as a Nursing Aide certificate or related training is advantageous.
• Applicants must have a compassionate, patient, and reliable nature along with excellent communication abilities.
• Physical fitness and the capability to assist with lifting or moving clients are necessary.
• Cleared background check is mandatory before employment.
