Role Details

  • Based at Brookhaven Retirement Lifecare in Christchurch
  • Casual employment with shifts as needed, not regularly scheduled
  • Shift options include mornings, afternoons, nights, and weekends

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

You will be instrumental in upholding the highest care standards for residents, demonstrating kindness, patience, and a positive disposition that fosters smiles and wellbeing in those you support.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven caregiving experience, preferably within aged care settings
  • Minimum qualification of NZQA Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or equivalent (e.g., Bachelor or Diploma in Nursing)
  • Experience specifically in dementia care
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving capabilities
  • A genuine passion for assisting others paired with excellent customer service and a cheerful attitude
  • Commitment to ongoing improvement and adherence to health and safety standards
