Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Career Coach to guide professionals through complex career decisions and transitions primarily across the US, Canadian, and UK markets. This role requires native or fluent English communication skills, profound expertise in international employment landscapes, and an ability to support candidates through strategic career growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct personalized career coaching sessions focusing on career changes, advancement, and sector shifts.
- Offer specialized job search guidance reflecting the unique requirements and hiring patterns of the US, Canada, and UK job markets.
- Optimize professional documents including resumes, CVs, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles tailored to region-specific standards and expectations.
- Lead advanced mock interviews and coaching in behavioral techniques, presentation frameworks, and salary negotiations involving complex compensation elements.
- Educate candidates on proactive networking tactics leveraging platforms such as LinkedIn and professional associations to enhance recruiter connectivity.
- Track and assess candidate progress, iterating coaching strategies according to changes in job market dynamics.
- Provide confident, knowledgeable advice to clients seeking employment in Canada, USA, and UK sectors.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in career coaching, executive search, university career services, or talent acquisition within corporate settings.
- Demonstrated understanding of the employment markets in the USA, Canada, and the United Kingdom including job culture and hiring practices.
- Exceptional English language skills suitable for engaging high-level professionals.
- In-depth knowledge of career development models, behavioral assessments, and familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Strong emotional intelligence, active listening skills, and a methodical, results-driven approach to coaching.
- Preferred: Certified Career Coach credentials (CPCC, BCC, or similar) or academic background in HR, recruitment, or industrial psychology.
