Care Worker

About the Role

Anglicare Sydney is seeking compassionate individuals to join their team as Home Care Workers on a permanent part-time basis at their Castle Hill location. In this role, you will provide high-quality support to clients within their homes, promoting their independence and dignity through thoughtful care.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with household chores such as washing, ironing, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain a clean living environment.
• Support clients with meal planning, preparation, and cooking to ensure nutritional needs are met.
• Provide personal care including help with showering, dressing, grooming, and hygiene requirements.
• Offer companionship and encourage social interaction and participation in community activities.
• Transport clients to appointments, shopping, and social outings to aid their mobility and engagement.
• Work hours are scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

You should be a patient, kind-hearted, and respectful individual passionate about improving the lives of older adults. Aligning with Anglicare's core values of integrity, justice, compassion, and excellence is essential.

• Must hold a valid NSW Driver’s Licence.
• Own a reliable NSW C Class vehicle for transportation between client locations.
• Current accredited First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain these.
• Vaccinations against COVID-19 and Flu are highly recommended.
• Basic proficiency with computers and smartphones.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Prior experience in Home Care or Disability Support roles.
• Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging, Home, and Community Care).
