Position Overview
This is a fixed-term maternity cover role seeking a passionate and skilled CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service) Practitioner to join the Lambeth CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Pathway. The service is a specialist multidisciplinary Tier 3 CYP-IAPT mental health team catering to children and adolescents up to 18 years presenting with complex mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive CAMHS assessments, including formulation, diagnosis, and treatment recommendations for children and young people.
- Manage a therapeutic caseload providing intervention and therapy to clients with complex needs and sometimes their families.
- Deliver a variety of therapeutic interventions tailored to children and young people.
- Collaborate closely with team members and external partners such as Social Services and Education to ensure holistic care and support.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in working independently with strong clinical, therapeutic, and case management capabilities.
- Demonstrated interest and skill in multi-agency and multidisciplinary practices.
- Familiarity with evidence-based mental health practices.
- Understanding of diversity, given the ethnically diverse, inner-city Lambeth community.
