About the Role
The Buying Administrative position involves supporting the Buying team to ensure effective daily operations, vendor communication, and product management. Ideal for individuals passionate about retail and product coordination, this role offers growth potential in buying and merchandising careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate communications with vendors, helping to maintain and strengthen working relationships.
- Assist in managing contract documentation, including renewals and record maintenance.
- Manage product listings, coordinate new product line setups, and oversee weekly product allocations.
- Compile reports and aid in conducting market research on trends within the product category.
- Monitor sales data and support the analysis of buying decisions through administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with Operations and Marketing teams to ensure smooth coordination during product launches and promotional activities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Between one to two years of experience in retail buying, merchandising, or related administrative roles; internship experience considered.
- Strong ability to organize tasks, multitask efficiently, and maintain attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various teams and vendors.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- A genuine interest in retail and eagerness to learn about the toy industry.
