About the Role
Our client, a prominent retailer renowned for delivering outstanding products and services, is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Engineer for a six-month contract based in Dublin. Working onsite five days a week, this position is pivotal in converting data into meaningful insights that support strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and upkeep BI solutions such as dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations to monitor critical business indicators.
- Partner with diverse teams to collect requirements and clarify data needs for multiple initiatives.
- Design and deploy ETL processes that guarantee data accuracy and accessibility for analytical purposes.
- Examine complex datasets to uncover trends and insights guiding strategic decision-making.
- Offer continuous support and instruction to users on BI tools and generated reports.
- Keep abreast of developments and best practices in business intelligence and analytics fields.
Candidate Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Intelligence Engineer or in a closely related role, preferably within retail but other sectors considered.
- Proficiency with BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker alongside solid data warehousing knowledge.
- Advanced SQL capabilities for data querying and refinement.
- Hands-on familiarity with ETL frameworks like Talend, Informatica, or SSIS.
- Experience in data modeling and designing databases.
- Strong analytical reasoning and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills able to simplify complex topics for non-technical audiences.
Additional Information
This is a six-month contract role, requiring presence onsite in Dublin five days weekly. The hourly pay ranges from €35.00 to €37.80, paid via PAYE for full 40-hour weeks.
