Role Overview

The Business Intelligence Analyst will be tasked with collecting, analyzing, and interpreting business data to provide actionable insights that drive decision-making. This role demands collaboration across teams to understand business needs and translate them into analytical requirements while ensuring data governance and security compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Uphold Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence in all activities.
• Collect and analyze business data to deliver meaningful insights.
• Create and maintain BI dashboards and reports using Power BI and similar tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design analytical solutions meeting business objectives.
• Develop and optimize data models ensuring accuracy and consistency of data sources.
• Write complex DAX and SQL queries for calculations, automation, and enhancing performance.
• Detect trends, patterns, and anomalies to support strategic and operational decisions.
• Maintain BI solutions with strict adherence to governance, security measures including row-level security (RLS), and documentation standards.
• Provide ad-hoc data analyses, create data-driven narratives, and continuously improve BI tools.
• Create sophisticated stored procedures, views, and perform data aggregation leveraging table joins and queries.
• Translate business requirements into effective and intuitive visualization solutions.
• Develop technical documentation and provide training and coaching to project stakeholders.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 4 to 5 years of practical experience in data modeling, database management, and data visualization.
• Possess a B.Tech or MCA degree, preferably in Information Technology or Computer Science from an accredited institution.
• Advanced expertise in Power BI, especially in creating complex DAX expressions and leveraging visual tools for compelling storytelling.
• Hands-on experience in loading database tables and constructing Fabric-based data lakes.
• Proficient with the Power Platform suite.
• Ability to operate autonomously or collaboratively within team environments, adjusting to project demands.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

• Willingness to travel as necessary.
