Role Overview
The position of Business Development Representative (BDR) for the APAC and EEMEA regions supports Mastercard Services, a rapidly expanding and essential business unit distinguished by proprietary data, cutting-edge technology, and specialist expertise. This role is instrumental in fostering business expansion by managing both inbound lead follow-up and proactive outbound outreach via email, social media, and calls. The objective is to engage senior-level decision makers at enterprises, schedule meetings with qualified prospects, and identify new business prospects.
The BDR will gain exposure to a comprehensive range of Mastercard Services offerings and frequently collaborate with multifunctional teams including Business Development and the Services B2B Marketing unit. Mastercard Services distinguishes itself by delivering innovative, data-driven consulting, marketing and loyalty initiatives, experimentation strategies, as well as information and risk management services globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct multi-channel outbound prospecting efforts, primarily through email and LinkedIn, along with selective telephone outreach while occasionally managing inbound leads.
- Engage senior enterprise stakeholders across European markets, securing qualified sales meetings.
- Create high-quality, budget-authority-need-timing (BANT)-aligned sales opportunities and meet or exceed quarterly goals.
- Serve as a primary contact for designated divisions, capabilities, and market segments, also supporting broader team priorities as needed.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and specialist teams to ensure coherence in messaging, strategic focus, and regional priorities.
- Champion sharing of best practices, messaging techniques, and insights within the BDR team.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics continuously, enhancing the effectiveness of outreach strategies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on Mastercard Services products, client challenges, and European market trends.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Development Representative or Sales Development Representative, preferably with enterprise customer focus.
- Comfortable working in an ambiguous, dynamic environment, and capable of developing new workflows.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; proficiency in a second language such as Turkish, Arabic, Chinese, or Japanese is highly advantageous.
- Strong familiarity with Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and sales engagement platforms like Outreach.io, ZoomInfo, or Lusha.
- Skilled in managing outbound prospecting via diverse digital channels.
- Self-driven with a proactive approach to pipeline development and outcome follow-up.
- Collaborative team player thriving in international, cross-functional settings.
- Focused on delivering results while nurturing quality relationships.
