About the Company and Role
Our client is an innovative Australian SaaS firm specializing in AI-driven workflow automation and data optimization tailored for corporate customers. Experiencing strong market growth, they seek to enlarge their go-to-market team by hiring an energetic and strategic Business Development Representative (BDR) to spearhead their next stage of expansion. This role revolves around aggressively finding new business prospects and cultivating connections in enterprise sectors including banking, financial services, insurance (BFSI), and government.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new sales pipeline by executing outreach campaigns using various channels such as phone, email, LinkedIn, and video, targeting qualified appointments with C-level and senior IT/operations executives.
- Research and strategically map complex enterprise organizations within tightly regulated industries, identifying decision-makers and understanding their business challenges.
- Engage prospects in consultative discovery discussions to detect workflow inefficiencies and articulate the value of the company's AI-powered SaaS platform as an essential solution.
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives and Marketing to ensure smooth transitions and coordinate Account-Based Marketing campaigns.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records in tools like HubSpot or Salesforce, analyzing engagement metrics to continuously enhance outreach approaches.
- Contribute to developing and refining outbound sales playbooks, email sequences, and objection-handling scripts to scale and improve the BDR function.
Candidate Profile
- Highly driven with a resilient mindset; persistence in face of rejection to improve sales approaches.
- Experienced in navigating complex corporate structures and effectively communicating with enterprise stakeholders.
- Inquisitive and consultative in style, asking insightful questions about prospects’ data environments and operational pain points rather than just pitching features.
- Coachable and eager to grow professionally within a dynamic SaaS sales environment, with a strong focus on enhancing sales skills and technology proficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- Between 1 to 2 years of experience in BDR or SDR roles within a business-to-business SaaS or technology setting. Experience with AI, workflow automation, or data-intensive solutions is strongly advantageous.
- Proven history of consistently achieving or surpassing qualified meeting and pipeline targets.
- Proficient in multi-channel prospecting, including cold calling, customized emailing, and social selling techniques.
- Experienced with modern sales technology stacks such as Salesforce or HubSpot CRM platforms, Salesloft or Outreach sales engagement tools, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary ranging from $75,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation.
- On-target earnings (OTE) are uncapped, expected between $110,000 and $130,000.
