About the Role and Organization
Join the ITG-FRS department at BNP Paribas, a key player in aligning IT initiatives with Finance and Risk strategies. The FRESH EMEA hub, with teams in Madrid and Lisbon, supports a growing landscape driven by regulatory reforms and digital transformation, including AI projects across Paris, APAC, Nar, and the UK.
Position Overview
The Business Analyst will participate in the AI Transformation team, focusing on financial and credit risk topics and BNP Paribas information systems. A primary project, ALADIN, is a web-based interface automating intercompany invoicing, accrual workflows, and accounting entry creation while providing control frameworks and audit trails.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business processes and gather detailed user requirements across multiple geographies.
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, and Operations teams to ensure solutions meet user needs.
- Create functional specifications for IT development and oversee alignment with requirements.
- Conduct integration and User Acceptance Testing to validate solutions.
- Facilitate on-time delivery of assigned tasks with quality assurance.
Additional Contributions
- Provide ongoing functional support for finance users in APAC, UK, and Americas.
- Assist in application and workflow maintenance, conduct root cause analysis, and coordinate issue resolution with IT.
- Manage incident reporting and service tickets according to established escalation protocols and SOPs.
- Support backlog management and deliver training on new features to finance and support teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A master's degree or equivalent qualification.
- Proficiency in business analysis and understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable liaising between IT, Finance, and end-users.
- Native-level English proficiency.
