Role Summary

The Boiler Performance Manager leads the boiler performance engineering functions related to BPS projects. This includes overseeing team workload planning, supporting proposal development, managing contract execution, ensuring quality of engineering deliverables, maintaining schedules, and handling technical documentation.

Primary Responsibilities

• Update manpower loading plans monthly to facilitate allocation of engineers, project scheduling, overtime estimation, and external support necessities.
• Manage contract processes from kickoff meetings to acceptance test completion and results documentation.
• Lead proposal development activities involving preliminary designs, clarifications, man-hour estimations, risk assessments, and schedule planning.
• Maintain and revise Boiler Performance ISO work directives.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations and submit engineer appraisals.
• Participate in weekly BPS Engineering meetings to review contracts and proposals.
• Track man-hour estimates against targets, documenting any adjustments impacting work hours.
• Monitor project timelines against milestones, communicating schedule changes with project schedulers and engineers.
• Supervise, review, and approve technical analyses including thermal calculations, predictions, and guarantees.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 15 years industry experience in roles involving thermal design, heat transfer, product or auxiliary equipment design.
• Proficient communication skills in writing, speaking, and interpersonal relations.
• Strong analytical capabilities with competency in software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines and pressure.
• Preferred background includes experience in boiler performance design for fuel types like coal, natural gas, or oil; field startup and operational knowledge; familiarity with ASME Section I code standards.

Travel Requirements

• Valid passport mandatory.
• Approximately 10% domestic travel with occasional international trips to support projects.
