About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer proficient in Python to join our team located in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. This full-time, onsite position involves designing and implementing scalable backend services and APIs, ensuring robust security and maintainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain efficient, well-structured RESTful APIs.
- Design and manage database solutions using PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Enhance application performance and enforce security standards.
- Write automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Collaborate effectively with frontend and mobile development teams to deliver seamless integration.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Strong command of Python programming language.
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI or Django frameworks.
- Expertise in designing RESTful APIs and understanding of API security practices including JWT and OAuth authentication mechanisms.
- Proficient with databases, both relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
- Ability to produce clean, maintainable, and testable code.
Working Conditions
- Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
- Location: First Floor, Stella Olufunke House, Bank Road, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria.
Additional Information
This full-time role requires a minimum of two years of professional experience in backend development and offers a structured weekday workweek excluding weekends.
