Azure Specialist - ASEAN High Tech

The High Tech Industry segment is pivotal at Microsoft ASEAN, prioritizing cloud-native startups and AI-driven companies that propel regional development and reshape how business operates. As an Azure Solution Specialist for High Tech, you will blend advanced technical knowledge in Azure and AI with sharp business insight to engage senior technology decision-makers like CTOs and CDOs, aligning technical solutions with strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Steer commercial and technical conversations around Azure and AI with clients by employing consultative sales methods, demonstrations, and programs to identify needs and present Microsoft's solutions effectively.
• Highlight Azure’s advantages compared to competitors such as AWS, GCP, and LLM providers, focusing on aspects like enhanced security, superior performance, cost benefits, and advanced AI integration.
• Offer expert technical guidance on cloud-native technologies including open-source software, containers, Kubernetes, serverless computing, IaaS, networking, data platforms, integration of large language models, and application modernization.
• Create tailored Azure strategies that align with customer visions by addressing concerns and constructing compelling business cases for technology investment.
• Lead commercial proposals and technical evaluations to develop migration plans that support the customer’s objectives.
• Collaborate with licensing and compliance teams to devise intricate value-driven deals.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• At least six years of experience in technology-focused sales with a proven track record in technical engagement.
• Strong comprehension of major cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP, including the ability to diagram architectures and discuss technical trade-offs.
• Demonstrated ability to influence executive-level stakeholders like CTOs, VPs of R&D, CDOs, and engineering leaders.
• Technical expertise in one or more areas: cloud-native architectures (containers, Kubernetes, DevOps, GitHub), data & AI technologies (data platforms, analytics, machine learning, AI agents), application modernization (serverless, microservices, app development), and security & compliance (identity management, zero trust, confidential computing).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure commercial models and SKU competitions.
• Strong business acumen capable of linking Azure solutions with customer growth strategies, investor expectations, and speed-to-market requirements.
• Awareness of ecosystem dynamics, particularly in startups and ISVs, to keep Microsoft relevant in high-growth technology markets.
