Role Overview
We seek a commercially astute Associate Director – Commercial to guide growth, sales, marketing, and partnerships across diverse areas such as landscaping, nursery operations, plant care, soil products, indoor plants, and floral services. The role is pivotal in expanding the business, enhancing market visibility, and ensuring profitable sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Drive new business development across landscaping-related sectors.
- Forge and maintain relationships with clients including corporate, developers, hotels, malls, government agencies, event planners, florists, and retailers.
- Manage proposal creation, commercial negotiations, and contract finalizations.
- Develop strategic partnerships and distribution networks.
- Design and implement sales strategies to meet revenue and profitability goals.
- Manage pricing, quotations, and sales pipeline monitoring including forecasting.
- Maintain key client accounts and promote customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Lead marketing strategies and reinforce brand presence through digital campaigns and promotions.
- Support market research, competitive analysis, and identification of new product and service opportunities.
- Contribute to budgeting, revenue planning, and profitability evaluations.
- Establish commercial key performance indicators and oversee compliance.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing commercial team.
- Collaborate across departments like Operations, Procurement, Finance, HR, and Production to improve processes.
- Represent the company at client meetings, exhibitions, and industry events.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, or related disciplines.
- Master's degree or MBA preferred.
- 10–15 years in commercial roles including sales, business development, or leadership.
- Minimum five years in senior management.
- Prior experience in landscaping, horticulture, agriculture, or nursery operations highly desirable.
- Documented success in revenue growth and strategic client management.
- Expertise in contract management, tendering, and commercial negotiations.
- Experience with large-scale projects and interactions with government and B2B clients.
