Role Overview
The Assistant Manager position in the PEB & Roofing Sales Division is based in Chennai. This role involves managing sales growth, broadening the dealer network, and ensuring robust market coverage in Tamil Nadu. The position demands a proactive field approach with emphasis on maintaining strong relationships with retailers and distributors.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the current business operations and cover the sales territory across Tamil Nadu.
- Develop and increase the dealer base for Roofing and Pre Engineered Building (PEB) products within the designated area.
- Meet and surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Identify prospective business opportunities and recruit new dealers.
- Maintain healthy, ongoing relationships with existing dealers to encourage repeat business.
- Enhance product visibility and ensure market penetration.
- Conduct frequent market visits, dealer meetings, and follow up on sites.
- Monitor competitors’ activities and report market insights to management.
- Coordinate internally to ensure smooth order processing, dispatch, and delivery.
- Ensure timely payment collections in line with credit policies.
- Promote company schemes, marketing promotions, and new product launches in the market.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Between 5 to 10 years of work experience in Roofing, PEB, Building Materials, or Channel Sales sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of Roofing and PEB distribution as well as dealer management.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales objectives.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Tamil Nadu territory.
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.

- Achievement of territory sales targets (percentage).
- Number of active dealers and onboarding of new dealers.
- Growth in secondary sales volumes.
- Efficiency in collections and control of outstanding payments.
- Adherence to market coverage plans and beat schedules.
