Job Overview
Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences? Join our team as an Assistant Manager in Hospitality at Sheetz in Lewistown, PA. In this position, you'll champion our commitment to outstanding customer service by making sure every customer visit is memorable and pleasant. As part of your leadership role, you'll help maintain high standards in inventory, preparation, promotion, production, service, and sales, while managing day-to-day store operations when the Store Manager is unavailable.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in recruiting, selecting, training, and evaluating a dedicated store team.
- Participate in scheduling decisions to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure employee adherence to Sheetz policies, procedures, and programs.
- Act on feedback from customer service shops, quality assurance audits, secret shopper reports, and store surveys.
- Maintain exceptional customer transaction flow, cleanliness standards, and consistent hospitality service quality.
- Oversee completion of end-of-day operational tasks.
- Manage merchandising by ensuring appropriate product placement, accurate pricing, and shelf restocking.
- Lead profit control initiatives including shrink management, lottery, stock audits, vendor relationships, car wash operations, and waste reduction.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; an associate degree in a business-related field is preferred.
- Successful certification completion as necessary.
- Preferred minimum of one year supervising in fast food, restaurant, retail, or convenience store environments.
- Valid ServeSafe certification and any other legally mandated certifications.
Additional Information
Schedule includes an additional $1.50 per hour premium for shifts from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
