Job Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Manager specializing in Financial Planning and Analytics to join our client’s office in Dubai. This role involves conducting detailed financial modeling and scenario analysis to identify challenges and opportunities amid evolving market conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop advanced forecasting models incorporating statistical approaches and macroeconomic factors to predict key performance indicators and simulate multiple economic scenarios.
• Provide in-depth sales performance analysis along with Management Information System (MIS) reporting across Retail and Business Banking Group (RBBG) sales channels.
• Assist in target-setting at individual, team, and branch levels, while addressing data-driven requests from various sales channels.
• Streamline and automate regular analysis and MIS reporting frameworks.
• Monitor ongoing RBBG performance metrics regularly and promptly update Senior Management, Segment, and Product Managers on significant trends and potential issues requiring intervention.
• Track the advancement of critical strategic initiatives within RBBG and highlight areas needing attention.
• Participate actively in business planning and forecasting activities for the business unit.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of sales incentives, prepare sales tracking reports, and manage inquiries related to sales incentive calculations.
• Analyze sales incentive effectiveness and promote improved sales productivity across all distribution channels.
• Quarterly refresh of product net present values (NPVs) to monitor interest rate and fund transfer pricing (FTP) fluctuations and recommend incentive structure adjustments as needed.
• Monitor incentive participation and payout rates to ensure adherence to governance guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with internal partners to maintain seamless and precise incentive processing.

Experience and Educational Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Demonstrated strong analytical and programming expertise using tools such as SAS, SQL, and Python.
• Established experience in developing propensity models and performing analytics specifically for Consumer Banking and Business Banking products.
• Proven capability in diagnosing business challenges and translating them into technical, analytic solutions.
• Prior exposure to financial services analytics.
• Proficiency in visualizing data and creating impactful graphic presentations for aiding business decisions.
• Experience constructing dashboards using Power BI.
• Clear communication skills to present complex data insights to senior leadership effectively, facilitating actionable conclusions.
• A cooperative team member who exhibits flexibility, accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
