About the Role
The Assistant HR Manager at McCann Singapore plays a pivotal role in advancing the company's objectives by overseeing essential HR operations and policies. Reporting directly to the People & Operations Director, this position leads the HR operations team to ensure comprehensive and efficient support for all agency employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer guidance and support regarding HR policies, systems, and procedures, aligning with industry best practices to managers and staff.
- Collaborate with the HR operations team to manage all stages of the employee lifecycle from recruitment onboarding through to exit procedures.
- Administer the monthly payroll processes by coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to guarantee accurate and timely salary disbursements.
- Oversee and manage employee benefits, leave, work permits, and staff movements, ensuring strict adherence to policies and legal regulations.
- Engage with benefits service providers concerning policy renewal, review, and implementation matters.
- Maintain accurate HR data records and assist in generating reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Support the Director during performance management cycles by monitoring schedules and consolidating relevant data.
- Lead and mentor the HR operations team to enhance capabilities and meet evolving business needs.
- Participate in identifying and addressing the training and development requirements of the agency.
- Contribute to various agency projects and initiatives to foster organizational growth.
Qualifications & Experience
- Between 5 to 8 years of experience in human resources, including a minimum of 4 years in HR operations and payroll, preferably within multinational corporations.
- Proficient with HR information systems such as Workday, SAP, or equivalent platforms.
- Up-to-date with the latest HR policies, procedures, and technological tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills suitable for interaction across diverse multinational teams and local agency members.
