About the Role
Join a leading Canadian retail company as a full-time Asset Protection Representative located in Bolton, Ontario at Fortinos. This role is pivotal in maintaining a secure, safe environment in a busy grocery and pharmacy store, directly contributing to the reduction of theft, fraud, and other security risks while fostering trust and safety for customers and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a strong and professional visible presence in the store to deter theft, fraud, and breaches of company policies.
- Confidently and lawfully apprehend individuals suspected of violations, adhering to company procedures and legal requirements.
- Conduct thorough investigations internally and externally, collect and analyze evidence, and collaborate with law enforcement agencies when needed.
- Work closely with store leadership to detect patterns of loss and implement effective preventive measures.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, security standards, and provincial legislation relevant to retail operations.
- Adapt quickly to the fast-paced retail setting, managing varied shifts including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess a valid Provincial Security Guard License and a solid understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and applicable legislation.
- Experience with CCTV systems, surveillance technologies, and Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills with an approachable, confident, and respectful demeanor.
- Exhibit high integrity, accountability, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Previous work experience in high-volume retail environments like grocery or pharmacy settings is an advantage.
- Availability to work a 40-hour week rotating through day, evening, night, and weekend shifts.
