Position Overview
Merici College invites applications for the role of Arts and Textiles Teacher starting January 2027 for Term One. This full-time position is located in Braddon, ACT, within the Catholic Education community of the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn. The college is a thriving all-girls school catering to Years 7-12, offering both the International Baccalaureate Middle Years and Diploma Programmes. Role Expectations
The teacher will cultivate creativity and artistic skills in students by employing innovative and diverse teaching approaches across various artistic media. You will create engaging lessons that stimulate both critical and creative thought, exploring classical and modern art styles. Ongoing assessment and detailed feedback are essential to support students' technical proficiency and conceptual development, along with meticulous progress tracking. Eligibility and Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Teaching/Education
- Current ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
- Registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI)
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency status
