Role Overview
The Articled Assistant for the August 2026 batch will contribute to the finance and taxation team by performing essential support functions. Daily tasks include bookkeeping, preparing financial working papers and schedules, aiding in tax return processing and compliance activities, plus assisting audits and financial assessments under supervision. Additional responsibilities involve carrying out preliminary research on tax legislation, organizing client documentation, maintaining accurate records, and cooperating closely with teammates to meet deadlines. This full-time, in-office position in Mumbai offers practical exposure to finance and advisory work tailored to the entertainment industry.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Solid foundational knowledge in accounting, auditing, and taxation, applicable to real-world client projects.
- Competence in financial analysis, support for budgeting, and cost monitoring within Media & Entertainment contexts.
- Proficiency with MS Excel and familiarity with basic financial software or ERP systems, ensuring precise record keeping.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional engagement with clients and team members.
- Meticulous attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to deliver work efficiently while adhering to deadlines.
- A keen willingness to learn, take responsibility, collaborate effectively, and adapt to dynamic client requirements.
- Enrollment in or eligibility for professional accounting certification (e.g., Chartered Accountancy articleship) is preferable, alongside any previous internships or hands-on experience in finance or taxation.
