Role overview
This opportunity is for a motivated retail leader who can convert plans into day-to-day store execution. The position supports the Area Manager in keeping multiple outlets operating efficiently, consistently, and in line with brand expectations. It suits someone who understands retail operations well, works comfortably with store teams, and is focused on improving sales results and customer experience across several locations.
Key responsibilities
- Help implement sales plans at store level and ensure they are carried out correctly.
- Review daily sales performance, identify patterns, and flag possible risks and opportunities.
- Spot chances to increase basket size through upselling and cross-selling, and help reduce slow-moving inventory.
- Make sure promotions, markdowns, and merchandising activities match company guidelines.
- Monitor stock availability to avoid excess inventory and out-of-stock situations.
- Carry out spot audits and assist with stocktaking activities.
- Watch expiry dates and aging stock, and arrange clearance action when needed.
- Maintain standards for store cleanliness, operational efficiency, and visual presentation.
- Back up Store Managers and serve as the first point of escalation for store-related issues.
- Ensure frontline teams consistently deliver strong customer service.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new team members.
- Offer coaching, feedback, and encouragement to store staff.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, health and safety rules, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Gather operational information and share reports with the Area Manager.
- Check correct pricing, discount compliance, and supporting documents for audits.
- Follow through on new initiatives and operational process changes.
- Act as the communication link between the Area Manager and store teams.
- Support store launches, promotional events, expos, and activation activities.
- Coordinate logistics for launches, campaigns, and stock transfers.
- Work with cross-functional teams to align online and offline activities.
Requirements
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in business administration, retail management, or a similar field.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in a Store Manager role or a comparable position, preferably in retail or a related industry.
- Solid knowledge of retail operations, selling principles, and visual merchandising.
- Proven leadership ability with a coaching mindset and the confidence to support teams.
- Strong planning, organization, and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, POS tools, and inventory management systems.
- Strong English communication skills; Arabic will be an advantage.
- Willingness to travel frequently between store locations.
