Job Overview
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will oversee and drive business operations under the Agency Travel team and Tie Ups, with a focus on growing profitable sales through channel management of agents. The role involves close collaboration with multiple internal teams such as Operations, Product, Process Excellence, Claims, Finance, Legal, Business Intelligence, Marketing, and Human Resources to ensure optimal service delivery to clients and banking partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve overall Gross Written Premium targets.
- Ensure sustainable profitability across business operations.
- Maintain the Combined Operating Ratio (COR) within budgeted limits.
- Uphold hygiene standards related to the business.
- Drive activation efforts to boost sales and client engagement.
Stakeholder Management
Internal stakeholders:
- Operations teams (BOPs & COPs) for issuance and banking operations.
- Finance department regarding taxation matters.
- Human Resources to provide business insights and support talent development.
- Training teams for employee development and training programs.
External stakeholders:
- Agents and channel partners in the field.
- Managers from other companies for leads and collaborative support.
Experience & Education
- 5-6 years of experience within the insurance sector.
- Minimum 3-4 years of leadership experience managing a retail sales business unit or company line.
- Graduate degree in any field.
