Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned and target-driven Business Development Manager to support the expansion of Intrax's network of host organizations throughout the United States. This individual will focus on identifying, building, and securing partnerships for the J-1 Intern and Trainee programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement strategic business development initiatives aimed at increasing the network of host organizations and meeting yearly growth goals.
- Develop a strong pipeline of prospective host companies via networking, referrals, cold outreach, social platforms, industry bodies, conferences, and market analysis.
- Target organizations with workforce demands that align with Intrax's J-1 sponsorship offerings, especially within STEM, business, marketing, hospitality, and similar sectors.
- Qualify leads through various communication channels including phone calls, video conferencing, email, and face-to-face meetings.
- Conduct detailed discovery sessions, presentations, and advisory sales discussions with potential partners.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, contracts, and responses to RFPs as required.
- Manage the complete sales process from initial lead generation through to contract signing and onboarding of host organizations.
- Negotiate partnership conditions and finalize new business agreements successfully.
- Utilize successful case studies and industry insights to enhance presence in targeted markets.
- Create customized workforce solutions addressing employers' talent acquisition needs via the Intrax internship programs.
- Consistently maintain sales activities to meet set monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Keep precise CRM records, forecasts, and pipeline updates.
- Collaborate closely with teams including Account Management, Operations, Compliance, Recruitment, and Marketing to ensure effective onboarding, retention, and growth of host organizations.
- Ensure all agreements comply with the J-1 program regulations and sponsor requirements.
Additional Duties
- Explore new industry sectors and market segments to uncover expansion opportunities.
- Keep abreast of workforce development, talent mobility, internships, and trends in international education.
- Represent Intrax at industry conferences, networking events, chambers of commerce, and workforce forums.
- Help develop employer-focused marketing collateral and success stories.
- Maintain in-depth awareness of Intrax services, competitors, and industry developments.
- Support strategic growth planning for the Intrax Global Internships portfolio.
Candidate Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- 3 to 5 years in successful B2B sales, business development, employer relations, staffing, recruiting, or account management.
- Proven ability in pipeline development, lead generation, and closing new client relationships.
- Experience managing sales funnels and meeting performance objectives consistently.
- Experience in selling services, workforce solutions, recruitment, or staffing-based offerings.
- Excellent skills in written and verbal communication, presentations, and negotiation.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms, LinkedIn, Microsoft Office, and other sales tools.
- Ability to work autonomously with limited oversight.

- Established network in STEM, technology, engineering, marketing, hospitality, tourism, or related fields.
- Experience forming employer partnerships and strategic alliances.
- Background in staffing, workforce development, or talent acquisition sectors.
- Familiarity with J-1 Exchange Visitor Programs.

Compensation Details
The salary range is between $90,000 and $100,000 per year, supplemented by sales incentives, depending on experience. Pay is determined by location, skills, experience, and educational background. A comprehensive benefits package is also provided.
