Application Specialist (Laboratory IT & Middleware)

About the Role

We are looking for an Application Specialist experienced in Laboratory IT and Middleware to bridge clinical lab operations with diagnostic software integration. This position is ideal for individuals deeply familiar with laboratory process flows and capable of managing Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) or middleware.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage software applications supporting diagnostic devices, including overseeing system connections, middleware processes, and LIS/LMS integrations.
• Perform installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and testing of healthcare software and connected clinical lab equipment.
• Aid end-users by applying knowledge of lab workflows to troubleshoot device problems, enhance system controls, and streamline diagnostic tasks.
• Conduct training sessions for hospital and laboratory personnel, internal staff, and regional partners focusing on software functionality and system administration.
• Provide both pre-sales and post-sales application support, respond to cybersecurity concerns, and maintain detailed records within CRM platforms.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Biotechnology, Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, or a related life sciences field.
• Practical experience within a clinical or diagnostic lab, medical technology environment, or relevant internship focusing on laboratory workflows.
• Keen interest in transitioning into healthcare IT, including learning about system connectivity, operating systems, and basic networking principles; thorough training will be provided.

Compensation & Work Arrangement

This is a permanent position offering a salary between SGD 5000 and SGD 6000 plus benefits. The role involves working onsite with a hybrid work arrangement.
