Position Overview
We are seeking an Analytics Engineer (POC Lead) to join our client's team in Dubai, focusing on converting raw clinical data into actionable regulatory insights. The role involves managing the transition from Silver to Gold data layers by transforming intricate, versioned clinical records into efficient point-in-time KPI models.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement semantic models by translating complex clinical business rules into streamlined, modular, and high-performance SQL models.
- Execute all transformation logic using dbt with Git version control to ensure reproducibility and audit readiness.
- Create Point-in-Time (PIT) views to accurately resolve temporal joins among event facts and versioned dimension data.
- Produce flattened, optimized star schema tables in the Gold data layer facilitating Business Intelligence developers to create dashboards without complex query logic.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficient in dbt for transformation development at an expert level.
- Strong expertise with advanced Git workflows including branching, tagging, and pull-request based code reviews ensuring audit-compliant reproducibility.
- Expert in SQL with skills in window functions, complex joins, and advanced Common Table Expressions (CTEs).
- Deep understanding of dimensional modeling and star schema design in practical applications.
- Knowledge of orchestration tools like Airflow is advantageous.
