Role Overview
The Analyst in Data Architecture will provide comprehensive data and analytical support to Colgate's business teams worldwide. This role involves understanding both internal and external data sources such as Syndicated Market Data and Point of Sales data to develop effective analytical services and insights-based solutions. Mastery of data transformation and visualization technologies is essential to enhance these services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent problem solving with large datasets, proactive collaboration, and strong communication proficiency both in writing and verbally.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business teams across corporate divisions, hubs, and countries to gather requirements and co-develop solutions.
- Coordinate with internal analytics and IT teams to enhance and maintain standardized and sustainable reporting systems.
- Manage relationships with external data providers like Nielsen and Kantar, ensuring timely data delivery and conducting regular performance and contract reviews.
- Innovate and implement analytical approaches such as data transformation, visualization, and deriving insights to address evolving business challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Sciences; MBA preferred.
- 1-2 years of professional experience in ETL or automation roles.
- Proficiency with data transformation tools including R, Python, SQL, and cloud platforms such as GCP or Snowflake; familiarity with Google Apps.
- Experience using data visualization tools like Tableau, DOMO, and Google Data Studio.
- Ability to interpret, analyze, and visually present complex data sets effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills tailored to business engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling syndicated market data and Point of Sales data from providers such as Nielsen, Kantar, or IRI.
- Knowledge of the consumer packaged goods industry.
- Understanding of Colgate’s internal processes and analytics tools (ideal for internal candidates).
- Eagerness to explore and adopt new technologies and analytical methods.
- Capability in project management and facilitation.
