Role Overview
As an Airside Operations Officer, you will play a vital role in coordinating and supporting airside operations, guaranteeing safe and seamless aircraft movement. Key duties include managing aircraft positioning, liaising with pilots and ground personnel, and ensuring adherence to all safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct aircraft movements around gates, taxiways, and runways while ensuring compliance with Air Traffic Control directives.
- Continuously monitor aircraft locations, maintain clear communication with pilots and ground teams, and swiftly solve operational issues to optimize efficiency.
- Oversee maintenance and operational readiness of ground support equipment like tugs, baggage carts, and refueling vehicles.
- Conduct safety audits regularly, enforce safety procedures, and deliver safety training to staff to mitigate hazards on the airside.
- Formulate and carry out emergency response plans including drills, coordinate with emergency services, and manage evacuations to minimize emergency impacts.
- Coordinate inspections and repairs on runways and taxiways, ensuring these surfaces meet safety standards and are free from debris or obstacles.
- Manage traffic flow and movements of vehicles and personnel on the airside to avoid incidents and maintain smooth operations.
