Aircraft Technician - Base Maintenance

Role Overview

In Base Maintenance, skilled engineers provide exceptional service covering all aircraft inspections and system repairs, major cabin retrofits, aircraft deliveries, and detailed inspections for Airbus A380, A350, and Boeing 777 aircraft. This team specializes in efficient and cost-effective execution of A & C checks, engine replacements, landing gear modifications, as well as unscheduled and pre-service checks.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of aircraft, engines, components, and approved structural repairs following manufacturer guidelines.
• Strictly follow safety procedures during fluid replenishment, aircraft refueling, and system servicing.
• Carry out component replacements and other maintenance as instructed, utilizing and interpreting maintenance manuals such as AMM, IPC, CMM, SRM, or other authorized documentation.
• Assist Licensed Aircraft Engineers and Approved Technicians with troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications to ensure tasks are completed on time, defects reported promptly, and shift handovers are accurate.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture by minimizing risks, reporting deficiencies, keeping workspaces organized and free of foreign objects, and regularly inspecting tools, vehicles, and equipment in compliance with airport safety standards including holding a valid Airport Driving Permit.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental objectives and support ongoing process improvements.
• Apply maintenance knowledge and experience to aid resource planning using RMS/RTC systems and participate in relevant departmental projects as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum five years experience in an engineering environment.
• Completion of Vocational or Diploma education (12+2 or equivalent).
• Graduate qualification in Engineering or related field (12+2).
• Formal apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or equivalent technical training with a recognized airline or approved maintenance organization; or possession of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License.
• Practical aircraft engineering experience, including at least two years of on-job training within an airline or approved maintenance organization.
• This position is designated as safety-sensitive and is a PSMP role.
