About the Role

This position is offered through a partner company based in Canada that manages all application processes. The AI Tech Leader role is crafted for a proactive and entrepreneurial technical leader passionate about creating and scaling AI-driven SaaS products from inception.

The role involves translating validated business concepts into tangible products by designing robust architectures, delivering swiftly, and laying the groundwork for scalable technology. You will collaborate closely with business leaders, overseeing the technical strategy, execution, and product growth from early stages through maturity.

This role demands a hands-on approach, merging software engineering expertise with sharp product insight and deep customer understanding. It offers significant autonomy to guide technical decisions, set engineering standards, and influence core business outcomes. Key Responsibilities

Lead the technical vision, architecture, and development roadmap for AI-centric SaaS offerings.
Convert validated customer requirements into scalable, functional software solutions.
Rapidly build and release initial product versions using contemporary AI tools, frameworks, and practices.
Create AI features utilizing large language models (LLMs), autonomous agents, and cutting-edge technology.
Prioritize customer needs, employing market feedback to drive development.
Maintain excellence in code quality, system performance, security, and maintainability from the outset.
Engage with business stakeholders on product decisions, customer presentations, integrations, and technical dialogues.
Analyze and resolve sophisticated technical issues, providing pragmatic solutions that promote business expansion.
Set engineering protocols, standards, and documentation to enable future technical team growth.
Prepare the technology base for scaling and onboarding additional engineering talent.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering SaaS products.
Background as a founding engineer, technical co-founder, or similar leadership role in a technical capacity.
Demonstrated expertise in deploying AI technologies such as LLMs, AI agents, and modern AI development tools.
Solid software engineering foundation with experience in designing scalable applications.
Capable of independent work, decisive technical judgement, and effective operation with minimal oversight.
Experience guiding products from concept validation through to production launch.
Strong comprehension of product development cycles with a customer-centric engineering mindset.
Adept at balancing rapid delivery with quality and sustainable scalability.
Excellent problem-solving aptitude and realistic technical approach.
Full-time availability and readiness to assume responsibility for outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

Track record of leading a product that achieved notable commercial success or revenue generation.
Experience in building or scaling B2B SaaS businesses.
Direct collaboration with customers to refine product direction.
Familiarity with startup or venture-building ecosystems.
Presence of a strong technical portfolio, GitHub repository, or similar evidence of capability.
