Overview
The Administrative Assistant position provides vital administrative and operational support for the OASAS-funded FORGE program, facilitating smooth daily operations through scheduling, communication, record maintenance, meeting coordination, and general office duties.
About FORGE
FORGE (Fostering Opportunities, Resilience, Growth and Employment) is a technical assistance initiative designed to assist Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors in offering job opportunities and support to individuals recovering from substance use disorder. The program emphasizes job coaching, training counselors, and fostering partnerships with employers to create recovery-friendly employment options.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver administrative assistance to the OASAS-sponsored program by managing scheduling, communication, and routine office tasks.
- Help maintain program documentation, records, and support recordkeeping procedures in compliance with program standards.
- Organize logistics for meetings and events, including scheduling, preparing materials, and coordinating participant communication.
- Support smooth day-to-day office operations and assist program personnel and leadership in executing program activities efficiently.
Qualifications
- Possess a high school diploma or GED; an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Have a minimum of two years’ experience in administrative support roles.
- Experience within nonprofit, workforce development, health, behavioral health, or human services environments is advantageous.
