Accountant - Remote Contract Position

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Finance Expert for a contract role with remote work flexibility. This opportunity offers compensation ranging from $10 to $55 per hour, with a commitment level of 10 to 40 hours weekly. The position involves reviewing financial data, verifying accuracy, and supporting comprehensive financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine and authenticate financial records, invoices, and ledger entries to ensure completeness and precision.
• Conduct variance analyses and reconcile accounts to detect and correct inconsistencies.
• Assess data exported from ERP systems and provide detailed, actionable insights on the evaluation.
• Assist in documenting financial workflows including accounts payable and receivable, and support month-end closing procedures.
• Analyze both actual and simulated financial tasks, correlating evidence to expected results with meticulous attention.
• Communicate complex financial findings clearly and effectively in written form.

Candidate Requirements

• Expert-level skills in Excel and Google Sheets for financial data manipulation and reporting.
• Background in accounting functions such as AP/AR, financial reporting, reconciliation, or financial planning and analysis.
• Capability to review and interpret ERP-generated reports, ledgers, and associated documentation.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for identifying and explaining financial discrepancies.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral, emphasizing clarity and precision.
• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline, paired with relevant experience.
