Job Responsibilities

The Accountant will oversee daily financial functions, including transaction recording, ledger maintenance, and bank and cash account reconciliations. The role encompasses invoice preparation, monitoring receivables and payables, payment processing, and ensuring all financial transactions related to travel services like ticketing, visas, and accommodations are accurately documented.

Additionally, the Accountant will generate regular financial reports, aid in budget preparation and cost management, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations. Close collaboration with the operations and reservations teams is essential to ensure proper pricing strategies, margin tracking, and prompt financial updates.

Qualifications and Skills

• Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, ledger management, and financial reporting.
• Competence in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills, including formula use and reconciliations.
• Experience with accounts payable and receivable, as well as bank reconciliations.
• Keen attention to detail with accuracy in data entry and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to interpret financial data to support budgeting and monitor cost efficiency and profit margins.
• Effective communication abilities for teamwork across departments.
• Experience in finance within travel, tourism, or hospitality sectors is beneficial.
• Academic background in Accounting, Finance, or related fields; professional certifications like ACCA or CPA are advantageous.
• Willingness and ability to work on-site in Dubai, complying with local financial and regulatory requirements.
