Overview
Join Quadra Group as an Account Manager in our Pulp and Paper division based ideally in Edmonton, Alberta. This full-time permanent role oversees a vibrant territory spanning Western Canada and the Northwestern United States. The position emphasizes building and nurturing long-term client relationships, expanding current accounts, and pursuing new business within the pulp and paper industry, particularly focusing on chemical applications. Expect up to 50% travel to engage directly with clients and foster partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote Quadra's comprehensive product range to new and existing customers through visits, calls, and industry events to generate revenue growth.
- Proactively identify and develop customer accounts via research, prospecting, and market analysis.
- Maintain strong, enduring customer relationships aligned with the company's strategies and core values.
- Deliver customized solutions addressing operational and technical requirements, especially for key accounts, enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Meet or exceed set sales and margin targets while supporting sales forecasting and financial planning.
- Secure new clients, ensure existing sales volumes, and manage contract negotiations and renewals.
- Analyze industry trends, market changes, and competitors to inform sales strategies and customer engagement.
- Complete and submit accurate sales documentation and reports promptly.
- Collaborate internally with product management, marketing, and other stakeholders to support sales and cross-selling initiatives.
- Represent Quadra at prominent industry events to promote the company and build sector relationships.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Science, or Chemical Engineering preferred.
- At least 5 years of business development experience specifically in the pulp and paper industry.
- Strong knowledge of pulp and paper manufacturing processes, equipment, regulatory standards, and industry dynamics.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills covering both technical and value-based approaches.
- Highly self-driven with adaptability to evolving technologies and market conditions.
- Effective problem-solving skills with an ability to identify and meet customer requirements accurately.
- Strong organizational and planning capabilities with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% across Canada and the United States, including overnight stays.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and passport is mandatory.

Compensation
The expected annual base salary ranges from 73,400 to 114,700 CAD, varying according to skills, education, and experience. Total compensation also includes a rewarding incentive program and benefits.
