The Role

As a Wellbeing Coach, you will engage with teens over text, crafting genuine, warm conversations that make them feel truly heard. Supported by AI that offers contextual suggestions, you personalize every reply to maintain an authentic connection. This position prioritizes skilled coaching and conversation over clinical practice, so active clinical license holders are not eligible.

Responsibilities

Provide emotional support to teens via chat, fostering one-on-one conversations.
Respond promptly, within a minute, maintaining a personal and empathetic tone throughout interactions.
Analyze chat history and member profiles to tailor messages, ensuring personalized support.
Send individualized check-ins to maintain connection.
Build and sustain rapport across multiple exchanges, adjusting tone appropriately.
Handle multiple chat conversations simultaneously during busy periods without compromising quality.
Use AI tools as a guide, customizing responses to reflect your unique voice rather than relying on templates.
In crisis situations, escalate with clear, calm communication. A compassionate understanding of teen suicidality and sound judgment under pressure are crucial.

Requirements

Excellent written communication with an engaging, authentic tone.
Experience supporting individuals in mental health, peer accompaniment, education, or youth-related fields.

Capacity to manage multiple ongoing chats during peak times.
Reliable internet, computer, and quiet workspace.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in text, chat, or crisis support environments.
Non-licensed psychology, counseling, or social work coursework or certifications.
Familiarity with American teen culture, including social media and communication styles.
Mental health first aid or crisis intervention training (provided if absent).

Work Schedule and Terms

Flexible 8-hour on-call shifts covering mornings, nights, and weekends.
Timely and attentive responses required during active chat periods.
Engagement as a contractor.

Compensation

Earn between $70 and $120 per shift, dependent on experience and volume of shifts worked.
